Suzuki Dealer Serving Buffalo Introduces 2011 Suzuki Equator

West Herr Chrysler Jeep Suzuki is introducing the 2011 Suzuki Equator to Buffalo Suzuki shoppers. As with all retail 2011 Suzuki automobiles and light trucks, the Equator is backed by America’s #1 Warranty: a 100,000-mile/seven-year, fully transferable, zero-deductible powertrain limited warranty.

The 2011 Equator continues to be available in an Extended Cab and Crew Cab body style, as well as rear-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive (4WD) options. The Crew Cab has the option of either a Short Bed or Long Bed version.

The Equator offers a standard 2.5-liter DOHC inline four-cylinder engine with 152 horsepower, or an available 4.0-liter V6 DOHC engine producing 261 horsepower (same as the 2010 model). The V6 engine features an aluminum block with cast iron cylinder liners, Teflon-coated pistons, micro-finished forged steel crankshaft, micro-finished camshafts and variable valve timing.

The transmission comes in either a five-speed automatic transmission or five-speed manual transmission, which is available only on four-cylinder models. The 4WD system can be shifted on-the-fly and the Equator also offers a comprehensive off-road traction system with an electronic locking rear differential, Vehicle Dynamic Control, Hill Descent Control and Hill Hold Control.

Equator Offers Surprising Space and Comfort for Buffalo Suzuki Shoppers

Don’t let the ruggedness of the 2011 Equator fool you, though. This midsize pickup offers sedan-type comfort with flip-up rear seats, fold flat front passenger seat and removable storage boxes beneath the rear seats to provide more cargo space.

The Extended Cab and Crew Cab (standard bed) Equator offers a 125.9-inch wheelbase that provides outstanding driving stability and comfort, while its overall length of 206.6 inches provides the perfect balance of utility, maneuverability and composure. Though somewhat smaller than a full-size truck, the Equator is built with big-truck toughness and capability.

The 2011 Equator boasts many safety features, including standard roof-mounted curtain side-impact and rollover supplemental airbags as well as seat-mounted side-impact supplemental airbags. Standard stability control is available on the V6 models.
Other safety equipment includes front and rear crumple zones, seat belt sensors and front occupant classification sensor, three-point front seat belts and a LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) child seat anchor system for the rear seat in the Crew Cab model.

The Equator is backed by a 100,000-mile/seven-year powertain limited warranty.
